The Breakfast Martini is a modern cocktail that combines the flavors of gin, marmalade, and citrus to create a refreshing and slightly sweet drink. It was invented in the late 1990s by renowned bartender Salvatore Calabrese.

History[edit | edit source]

The Breakfast Martini was created by Salvatore Calabrese in 2000 at the Library Bar in London. The inspiration for the cocktail came from Calabrese's wife, who introduced him to the idea of using marmalade in a drink. This innovative use of marmalade, a staple of the traditional English breakfast, gave the cocktail its name.
