Brian Eric Bonsall (born December 3, 1981) is an American former child actor and musician. He is best known for his roles as Andy Keaton on the NBC sitcom Family Ties (1986–1989) and Alexander Rozhenko on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1992–1994).
Early life[edit | edit source]
Brian Bonsall was born in Torrance, California. He began his acting career at a young age, appearing in various commercials before landing his breakthrough role on Family Ties.
Acting career[edit | edit source]
Bonsall joined the cast of Family Ties in 1986, playing the youngest child, Andy Keaton. The show was a significant success and helped Bonsall gain recognition as a talented young actor. After Family Ties ended, he continued to work in television and film.
In 1992, Bonsall was cast as Alexander Rozhenko, the son of Worf, on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He appeared in seven episodes of the series, further establishing his career in the entertainment industry.
Bonsall also starred in several films during the early 1990s, including Blank Check (1994) and Father Hood (1993).

After retiring from acting in 1995, Bonsall shifted his focus to music. He became involved in the punk rock scene and played in several bands, including Late Bloomers, Thruster, and The Light on Adam's Stereo.
