A musician is a person who composes, conducts, or performs music. Musicians can be classified by their roles in creating or performing music.

- Conductor: A conductor is a musician who directs a group of performers. They use gestures to guide the performers in terms of tempo and dynamics.
- Performer: A performer is a musician who plays a musical instrument or sings. They may perform as a solo artist, as part of a band, or as part of an orchestra.
