- Brookmont is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. It is a residential area that is recognized for its unique charm and close-knit community. The city is nestled along the Potomac River, providing residents with stunning views and a variety of outdoor recreational activities.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Brookmont is located at 38°56′29″N 77°7′29″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.4 square miles, all land. The city is bordered by the Potomac River to the south, the C&O Canal National Historical Park to the west, and the Carderock neighborhood of Bethesda to the north.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2010 census, there were 3,282 people, 1,476 households, and 897 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 8,205.0 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.7% White, 1.9% African American, 0.1% Native American, 4.9% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.7% of the population.
