Brother Ali (born Jason Douglas Newman on July 30, 1977) is an American rapper, activist, and member of the Rhymesayers Entertainment collective. Known for his socially conscious lyrics and unique voice, Brother Ali has been a prominent figure in the hip hop community since the early 2000s.
