Bruce Sewell

Bruce Sewell is an American attorney and corporate executive. He served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Apple Inc. from 2009 to 2017. Prior to joining Apple, Sewell was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Intel Corporation.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Bruce Sewell was born in the United States. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom. He then earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

Career[edit | edit source]

Intel Corporation[edit | edit source]

Sewell began his career at Intel Corporation in 1995. He held various positions within the company, including Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs, Deputy General Counsel, and eventually Senior Vice President and General Counsel. During his tenure at Intel, Sewell was responsible for leading the company's legal, corporate affairs, and corporate social responsibility teams.

Apple Inc.[edit | edit source]

In 2009, Sewell joined Apple Inc. as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. He was responsible for all legal matters, including corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation and securities compliance, as well as government affairs. During his time at Apple, Sewell played a key role in the company's most significant litigation matters, including its global patent dispute with Samsung Electronics.

Sewell is known for his passion for the outdoors and is an avid cyclist and hiker.
