Butot-Vénesville

Butot-Vénesville is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Butot-Vénesville is a farming village situated in the Pays de Caux, some 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Dieppe at the junction of the D27, D149 and the D70 roads.

Population[edit | edit source]

The inhabitants of the commune are known as Butotais or Butotaises. The population data in the table and graph below refer to the commune of Butot-Vénesville proper, in its geography at the given years.

History[edit | edit source]

The commune was created in 1822 by the merger of the two parishes of Butot and Vénesville.
