- Butte is a census-designated place (CDP) in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, United States. It is part of the Anchorage Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2010 census, the population was 3,246.

- Butte is located at 61°32′15″N 149°03′37″W (61.537449, -149.060482). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 30.4 square miles (78.7 km²), of which, 28.9 square miles (74.9 km²) of it is land and 1.5 square miles (3.8 km²) of it (4.86%) is water.
