Café Britt
Café Britt is a Costa Rican company that produces and markets gourmet coffee, chocolate and other products. It is recognized for its focus on quality and sustainability.
History[edit | edit source]
Café Britt was founded in 1985 by Steve Aronson, an American entrepreneur who moved to Costa Rica in the late 1970s. Aronson noticed that despite Costa Rica's reputation for high-quality coffee, most of the best beans were being exported and locals were left with lower-quality product. He decided to start a company that would roast and sell Costa Rica's finest coffee beans locally.
Products[edit | edit source]
Café Britt's main product is its gourmet coffee, which is sourced from various regions in Costa Rica. The company also sells a variety of other products, including chocolates, nuts, cookies, and souvenirs. All of Café Britt's products are made in Costa Rica and reflect the country's rich cultural and natural heritage.
Sustainability[edit | edit source]
Café Britt is committed to sustainability and has implemented a number of practices to reduce its environmental impact. The company sources its coffee beans from farms that use sustainable farming practices, and it has a comprehensive recycling program in place at its roasting facility.
Tourism[edit | edit source]
In addition to its product offerings, Café Britt operates a popular tourist attraction in Costa Rica. The Café Britt Coffee Tour offers visitors a chance to learn about coffee production, from the cultivation of the coffee plant to the roasting of the beans.
