Cane Knife

A Cane Knife is a type of large, machete-like knife used in agriculture. It is primarily used in the harvesting of sugarcane in various parts of the world, including South America, Asia, and Australia. The cane knife is a versatile tool, not only used for cutting cane but also for various other agricultural tasks.

Design and Features[edit | edit source]

The design of a cane knife is typically long and slightly curved, with a sharp cutting edge on the concave side. The back of the blade is usually blunt, allowing the user to rest their hand on it for more control during use. Some cane knives also feature a hook on the back of the blade, which can be used to pull down tall stalks of cane.
