Cardiff Metropolitan University
Cardiff Metropolitan University (Cardiff Met) is a university located in Cardiff, Wales. It was established in 1865 as the Cardiff School of Art and has since evolved into a modern university offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Cardiff Metropolitan University traces its origins back to the Cardiff School of Art, founded in 1865. Over the years, it expanded to include various other schools and colleges, eventually becoming the Cardiff Institute of Higher Education. In 1996, it gained university status and was renamed the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC). In 2011, it adopted its current name, Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Campuses[edit | edit source]
Cardiff Met operates primarily from two campuses:
- Llandaff Campus: This campus houses the Cardiff School of Art & Design, Cardiff School of Management, and Cardiff School of Technologies.
- Cyncoed Campus: This campus is home to the Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy, Cardiff School of Sport and Health Sciences, and the university's main sports facilities.
