Cartoon Wars Part II
Cartoon Wars Part II is the fourth episode in the tenth season of the American animated television series South Park. It originally aired on Comedy Central in the United States on April 12, 2006. The episode is a direct continuation of the previous episode, "Cartoon Wars Part I".
Plot[edit | edit source]
The episode continues the story from "Cartoon Wars Part I", where the town of South Park is in a state of panic over the airing of a controversial episode of the animated series Family Guy. The episode in question is set to depict the Prophet Muhammad, which has led to threats from terrorist groups.
Eric Cartman and Kyle Broflovski travel to the headquarters of the Fox Broadcasting Company in an attempt to stop the airing of the Family Guy episode. Cartman wants to prevent the episode from airing because he hates Family Guy, while Kyle believes in the importance of free speech and wants to protect it.
At the Fox headquarters, Cartman tricks the network executives into believing that he is a Muslim offended by the depiction of Muhammad. He convinces them to pull the episode, but Kyle intervenes and exposes Cartman's true motives. The executives decide to air the episode with a black screen and a message explaining the censorship.
