Casey Stoner (born 16 October 1985) is a retired Australian professional motorcycle racer. He is a two-time MotoGP World Champion, winning titles in 2007 and 2011. Stoner is known for his exceptional talent and ability to ride any motorcycle to its limit, often outperforming his competitors on less competitive machinery.

Stoner was born in Southport, Queensland, and began racing at a young age. By the age of four, he had already started riding dirt bikes, and by the age of nine, he had won 41 dirt and long track titles and 70 state titles.

Stoner moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 14 to pursue a career in motorcycle racing. He competed in various British and Spanish championships, gaining valuable experience and honing his skills.
MotoGP Career[edit | edit source]
Stoner made his debut in the MotoGP class in 2006 with the Honda team. In 2007, he joined Ducati and won his first MotoGP World Championship in his debut season with the team. His success with Ducati was significant as he managed to win the championship on a bike that was considered difficult to ride.
In 2011, Stoner moved to the Repsol Honda team and won his second MotoGP World Championship. He continued to compete at the highest level until his retirement at the end of the 2012 season.

Stoner retired from professional motorcycle racing at the end of the 2012 season, citing a desire to spend more time with his family and dissatisfaction with the direction of the sport. After his retirement, he worked as a test rider for Ducati and Honda and occasionally participated in other motorsport events.
