Castle Rock Brewery was founded in 1997 by Chris Holmes, who was also the chairman of Tynemill. The brewery was established to supply Tynemill's pubs with a consistent and high-quality range of beers. Over the years, Castle Rock Brewery has expanded its production capacity and now produces around 20,000 barrels of beer annually.
