Charles Booker (born October 20, 1984) is an American politician from the state of Kentucky. He served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2019 to 2021, representing the 43rd district, which includes parts of Louisville.

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

Charles Booker was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended the University of Louisville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and later a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law.

Political career[edit | edit source]

Booker began his political career working for various local and state government offices. In 2018, he ran for the Kentucky House of Representatives and won, representing the 43rd district. During his tenure, Booker focused on issues such as economic justice, healthcare reform, and criminal justice reform.

In 2020, Booker gained national attention during his campaign for the United States Senate seat held by Mitch McConnell. Although he did not win the Democratic primary, his campaign was noted for its progressive platform and grassroots support.

Charles Booker is married to Tanesha Booker, and they have two children. The family resides in Louisville, Kentucky.
