Connection to Dr Pepper[edit | edit source]
The soft drink Dr Pepper was created in the 1880s by Charles Alderton, a pharmacist in Waco, Texas. There are several theories about how the drink got its name, and one popular theory suggests that it was named after Charles T. Pepper. According to this theory, Wade Morrison, the owner of the drugstore where Alderton worked, named the drink after Dr. Pepper, who was either a former employer or the father of a girl Morrison was once in love with. However, there is no definitive evidence to confirm this story.
