- Chilton is a city located in Calumet County, Wisconsin, United States. The city is part of the Appleton, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 3,933. Chilton is the county seat of Calumet County and is located on the South Branch of the Manitowoc River.

- The city was established in the 1840s and was originally known as "Chilington," named after the town's founder, John Marygold Chilton. The name was later shortened to its current form. Chilton officially became a city in 1891.

- Chilton is located at 44°02′15″N 88°09′31″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.01 square miles, of which, 3.92 square miles is land and 0.09 square miles is water.
