Chris Andersen
Chris Andersen (born July 7, 1978), also known as "Birdman", is a former professional basketball player from the United States. Andersen is best known for his time in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he played for several teams, including the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He gained fame not only for his energetic and effective defensive play but also for his distinctive tattoos and colorful personality.

Chris Andersen was born in Long Beach, California, but grew up in Iola, Texas. He did not play organized basketball until he was in high school. After high school, Andersen attended Blinn College, a junior college in Texas, where he played for one year. Despite being relatively unknown coming out of junior college, Andersen's athleticism and potential caught the attention of professional scouts.

Andersen's professional career began in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and the International Basketball League (IBL) before he made his way to the NBA. He went undrafted in the 1999 NBA Draft but was eventually signed by the Denver Nuggets.
