Chris Washburn (born May 13, 1966) is a former American professional basketball player who was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the 3rd overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft. Washburn's career in the NBA was marred by personal issues and legal troubles, which led to his early departure from the league.

Chris Washburn was born in Hickory, North Carolina, and attended Hickory High School, where he excelled in basketball. He went on to play college basketball at North Carolina State University, where he was recognized as a talented center.

Washburn entered the 1986 NBA Draft and was selected by the Golden State Warriors. His time in the NBA was short-lived, however, as he struggled with off-court issues. Washburn played a total of 72 games over two seasons with the Warriors and later the Atlanta Hawks.
