Computer program is a sequence of instructions that a computer can interpret and execute. Programs are created through the process of programming.

A computer program is a collection of instructions that can be executed by a computer to perform a specific task. A computer program is also known as a software program, software, computer script, or simply a program.

The earliest known computer program was written by Ada Lovelace in the 19th century, for the planned Analytical Engine. However, the engine was never completed and the program was never tested.
