Computing is the process of using computer technology to complete a task. Computing may involve computer hardware and software, but must involve some form of a computer system. It is also the study and the science of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and their implementation and application in computer systems.

Distributed computing is a field of computer science that studies distributed systems. A distributed system is a system whose components are located on different networked computers, which communicate and coordinate their actions by passing messages to one another.

Cloud Computing[edit | edit source]

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user.
