Cortexolone 17α-propionate
Cortexolone 17α-propionate (also known as CB-03-01) is a synthetic steroid that is used in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia and acne vulgaris. It is a derivative of cortexolone and is a topical antiandrogen.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
Cortexolone 17α-propionate acts as an androgen receptor antagonist. It binds to the androgen receptor and prevents it from activating, which inhibits the effects of androgens like testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This makes it effective in the treatment of conditions that are caused or exacerbated by androgens, such as androgenetic alopecia and acne vulgaris.
