- Coryell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 75,388. The county seat is Gatesville. The county is named for James Coryell, a frontiersman and Texas Ranger who was killed by Comanches.

- Coryell County is located in the central part of Texas, covering an area of 1,057 square miles. It is bordered by Bell County to the east, Lampasas County to the west, McLennan County to the northeast, and Hamilton County to the southwest.
