Costa Coffee is a multinational coffeehouse chain founded in 1971 by Sergio and Bruno Costa. It is headquartered in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. Costa Coffee is a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company.

Costa Coffee was established in 1971 by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa. The first store was opened in London, England. Over the years, the company expanded rapidly and became one of the largest coffeehouse chains in the world.

In 1995, Costa Coffee was acquired by Whitbread PLC, a British multinational hospitality company. Under Whitbread's ownership, Costa Coffee continued to grow and opened stores in various countries.

In 2018, The Coca-Cola Company acquired Costa Coffee from Whitbread for £3.9 billion. This acquisition allowed Costa Coffee to further expand its global presence and leverage Coca-Cola's distribution network.
