Crystal Mackall is a renowned oncologist known for her significant contributions to the field of cancer immunotherapy. She is currently serving as the Director of the Stanford Center for Cancer Cell Therapy at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Mackall completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University before pursuing her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at University of California, San Francisco.
Career[edit | edit source]
Mackall's research focuses on developing novel immunotherapies for pediatric and young adult patients with cancer. She has been instrumental in advancing the use of CAR-T cell therapy for the treatment of various malignancies.
In addition to her research efforts, Mackall is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of oncologists and immunologists. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards for her groundbreaking work.
