Cylindrocladiella peruviana

Cylindrocladiella peruviana is a species of fungus in the family Nectriaceae. It was first described by the mycologist R.F. Castañeda in 1991. The species is known from Peru, from which its specific epithet is derived.

The species was first described in 1991 by the mycologist R.F. Castañeda. The holotype was collected in Peru, and is preserved in the herbarium of the National University of San Marcos. The specific epithet peruviana refers to the country of origin of the holotype.

Description[edit | edit source]

Cylindrocladiella peruviana is characterized by its conidiophores, which are cylindrical and have a smooth surface. The conidia are hyaline, smooth-walled, and have a cylindrical shape. The chlamydospores are absent in this species.

Distribution and habitat[edit | edit source]

Cylindrocladiella peruviana is known only from the type locality in Peru. The fungus was found growing on decaying wood in a tropical rainforest.
