Dada Vaidya

Dada Vaidya (1817–1880) was a renowned Indian physician and writer from the state of Goa. He is celebrated for his contributions to Ayurveda and his efforts in promoting traditional medicine during the 19th century.

Dada Vaidya was born in 1817 in the village of Vadi, in the Ponda taluka of Goa. His family belonged to the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin community, which had a long tradition of practicing Ayurvedic medicine.
