- Dakota Dunes, SD is a planned community and census-designated place (CDP) in Union County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 2,688 at the 2010 census, making it one of the largest communities in the county. Dakota Dunes is part of the Sioux City, IA-NE-SD Metropolitan Statistical Area.

- Dakota Dunes is located in the southeastern corner of South Dakota, along the Missouri River. It is bordered to the south by the state of Nebraska and to the west by the city of North Sioux City, South Dakota.
