Dakota Dunes, South Dakota is a census-designated place (CDP) and master-planned community located in Union County, in the southeastern part of the state of South Dakota, United States. It is part of the Sioux City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Dakota Dunes was developed in the 1980s as a planned community with residential, commercial, and industrial zones. It was designed to integrate the natural landscape of the Missouri River's banks with modern urban planning.
