David Dastmalchian (born July 21, 1975) is an American actor. He is known for his roles in various films and television series, often portraying complex and intense characters.

David Dastmalchian was born in Overland Park, Kansas. He attended Shawnee Mission South High School and later studied at DePaul University's The Theatre School in Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting.
Career[edit | edit source]
Dastmalchian's career began with a notable role in the film The Dark Knight (2008), where he played Thomas Schiff, a paranoid schizophrenic henchman of the Joker. This role garnered him attention and led to further opportunities in both film and television.
He has since appeared in a variety of films, including Prisoners (2013), Ant-Man (2015), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), and The Suicide Squad (2021). Dastmalchian is known for his versatility and ability to portray a wide range of characters.
