David E. Price

David Eugene Price (born August 17, 1940) is an American politician who has served as a United States Representative for North Carolina's 4th congressional district since 1997. A member of the Democratic Party, Price's district includes parts of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, as well as many of the surrounding suburbs. Prior to his political career, Price was a professor of political science and public policy at Duke University.

David Eugene Price was born in Erwin, Tennessee, and grew up in the small town of Unicoi. His father was a high school principal, and his mother was an English teacher.
