David Prior, Baron Prior of Brampton
David Prior, Baron Prior of Brampton (born 21 February 1954) is a British Conservative politician and life peer. He has held several significant positions in both the public and private sectors, notably in the healthcare and steel industries. David James Maclean Prior was born in Norwich, Norfolk. He is the son of Jim Prior, Lord Prior, who was a prominent politician serving under Prime Ministers Edward Heath and Margaret Thatcher. Following in his father's footsteps, David Prior was educated at Charterhouse School before going on to study at Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he earned a degree in Law.
