One of the most significant milestones in the company's history was the invention of the conching process by Rodolphe Lindt in 1879. This process revolutionized chocolate production by creating smoother and creamier chocolate. In 1899, the Sprüngli family acquired the Lindt brand, and the company became known as Lindt & Sprüngli.
