- Demarest is a borough located in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 4,881, reflecting an increase of 36 (+0.7%) from the 4,845 counted in the 2000 Census. Demarest was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 8, 1903, from portions of Harrington Township and Palisades Township.

- Demarest is located at 40°57′06″N 73°57′47″W (40.951837, -73.962928). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough had a total area of 2.078 square miles (5.381 km2), including 2.078 square miles (5.381 km2) of land and <0.001 square miles (<0.001 km2) of water (0.05%).
