Denis Buntić is a retired Croatian handball player who had a distinguished career in both national and international handball. Born on March 13, 1982, in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Buntić played as a right back. Over his career, he was known for his powerful shots, tactical intelligence, and leadership on the court.

Denis Buntić began his handball career in his hometown club, HRK Hercegovac. His talent was evident from an early age, leading to his move to Croatia to further his career. Buntić's professional career took off when he joined RK Metković, where he developed into a key player.

Throughout his career, Buntić played for several top European clubs. After his stint with RK Metković, he moved to RK Zagreb, one of the most successful handball clubs in Croatia, where he won multiple Croatian Championships and Cups. His success in Croatia paved the way for a move to Europe's elite handball leagues.

Buntić later joined Vive Targi Kielce, a prominent Polish handball club, where he enjoyed considerable success. At Kielce, he won numerous Polish Superliga titles and was instrumental in the club's victory in the EHF Champions League during the 2015-2016 season. His performance in critical matches, especially in the Champions League, highlighted his ability to perform under pressure.

Denis Buntić was a vital member of the Croatia national handball team. He represented Croatia in several major international competitions, including the Olympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships. Buntić earned over 100 caps for the national team and was part of the squad that won the gold medal at the 2003 World Championship in Portugal and bronze medals at the European Championships in 2012 and 2016.
