Domino's Pizza Enterprises is a publicly traded fast food company headquartered in Brisbane, Australia. It is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol ASX: DMP. The company was founded in 1983 by Tom Monaghan and has since become one of the largest pizza delivery chains in the world.
History[edit | edit source]
Domino's Pizza Enterprises was established in 1983 when Tom Monaghan, the founder of Domino's Pizza in the United States, granted the exclusive master franchise rights for Australia and New Zealand to Silvio's Dial-A-Pizza, a small pizza delivery business in Brisbane. The company quickly expanded its operations and opened its first store in Brisbane in the same year.
In 1993, Silvio's Dial-A-Pizza changed its name to Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited and became a publicly traded company on the Australian Securities Exchange. Since then, the company has continued to grow and expand its presence in Australia, New Zealand, and other international markets.
Operations[edit | edit source]
Domino's Pizza Enterprises operates a network of franchised stores across Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and other countries. The company offers a variety of pizza flavors, pasta dishes, chicken wings, and desserts.
The company's success can be attributed to its focus on technology and innovation. Domino's Pizza Enterprises was one of the first pizza delivery chains to introduce online ordering and mobile applications, allowing customers to conveniently place their orders and track their deliveries in real-time.
