Dream (chocolate)
Dream is a brand of white chocolate produced by the Cadbury company. It was first launched in Australia and New Zealand in 2001. Following its success in these countries, it was subsequently launched in the United Kingdom and Canada. However, as of 2021, Dream is no longer available in the UK market.
History[edit | edit source]
The Dream brand was first introduced in Australia and New Zealand in 2001. It was marketed as a competitor to Nestle's Milkybar, which had dominated the white chocolate market in these countries for several years. The launch of Dream was accompanied by a significant advertising campaign, which helped to establish the brand's presence in the market.
In 2002, following its success in Australia and New Zealand, Dream was launched in the United Kingdom. The UK launch was also accompanied by a major advertising campaign, which included television and print advertisements, as well as promotional events.
Despite initial success, Dream was discontinued in the UK in the mid-2000s. The exact reasons for this are unclear, but it is believed that poor sales may have been a factor. As of 2021, Dream is no longer available in the UK, although it continues to be sold in Australia and New Zealand.
Product Description[edit | edit source]
Dream is a white chocolate that is made from cocoa butter, sugar, and milk solids. It is known for its creamy texture and sweet, milky flavor. The chocolate is typically sold in bars, which are divided into small, square segments.
In addition to the original white chocolate bar, Dream has also been available in a number of other varieties over the years. These have included Dream with Blackcurrant Pastilles, Dream with Cookie Crumble, and Dream with Strawberry Filling.
