Dudley Manlove was an American actor and singer, best known for his role as the alien Rallo in the cult classic film Plan 9 from Outer Space. Born on April 6, 1914, in Seattle, Washington, Manlove began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1940s. Manlove's most notable performance came in the 1959 film Plan 9 from Outer Space, directed by Ed Wood. In the film, he portrayed the enigmatic and otherworldly character Rallo, who was part of an alien invasion force. Despite the film's initial poor reception, it has since gained a significant following and is considered a cult classic. In addition to his work in film, Manlove also had a successful career as a singer, performing in various musical productions and cabarets. His distinctive voice and stage presence garnered him a dedicated fan base. Throughout his career, Manlove continued to make appearances in film and television, often in roles that capitalized on his unique persona. He remained active in the entertainment industry until his retirement in the 1980s.
