Dumdum
Dumdum is a city in the North 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a part of the Kolkata Metropolitan Area and is known for its historical significance and modern-day infrastructure.

Dumdum has a rich historical background dating back to the British Raj. It was an important center for the British East India Company and later became a significant military base. The Dum Dum Arsenal was established here in the 19th century, which was known for manufacturing the infamous Dum-dum bullet.
