Edward Gramlich
Edward M. Gramlich (1939-2007) was an American economist known for his contributions to public finance and policy analysis. He served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and as Acting Director of the Congressional Budget Office. Gramlich was also a professor at the University of Michigan, where he taught economics and public policy.

Edward Gramlich was born in 1939 in Rochester, New York. He earned his Bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College and went on to complete his Ph.D. in economics at Yale University.

Gramlich's career in public service began in the 1970s when he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
