Ehretia saligna
Ehretia saligna is a species of flowering plant in the borage family, Boraginaceae. It is native to parts of Africa and is known for its distinctive characteristics and uses in traditional medicine.

Ehretia saligna is a small to medium-sized tree that can grow up to 10 meters in height. The tree has a slender trunk and a rounded crown. The bark is typically greyish-brown and may become fissured with age. The leaves are simple, alternate, and lanceolate, with a glossy green appearance. They are usually 5-10 cm long and 2-4 cm wide.

The flowers of Ehretia saligna are small, white, and fragrant, arranged in terminal or axillary clusters. Each flower has five petals and is about 1 cm in diameter. The flowering season usually occurs in the spring. The fruit is a drupe, which turns from green to black as it matures. The drupes are about 1 cm in diameter and contain a single seed.

Ehretia saligna is commonly found in savannas, woodlands, and along riverbanks. It prefers well-drained soils and can tolerate a range of climatic conditions, from semi-arid to sub-humid environments.
