- El Lago is a city located in Harris County, Texas, United States. The city is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. El Lago has a rich history and is known for its peaceful residential environment.

- El Lago was incorporated on April 29, 1961. The city's name, which is Spanish for "The Lake," was chosen due to its location near Clear Lake and Taylor Lake.

- El Lago is located at 29°34′39″N 95°02′39″W (29.577423, -95.044343). The city has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km²), all of it land.

- As of the census of 2000, there were 3,075 people, 1,303 households, and 886 families residing in the city. The population density was 4,709.0 people per square mile (1,819.9/km²).
