Elaine Jaffe
Elaine S. Jaffe is an American pathologist known for her contributions to the field of hematopathology. She has made significant advancements in the understanding and classification of lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies.

Elaine Jaffe was born in New York City. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pathology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Jaffe has spent the majority of her career at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a part of the NIH. She is a senior investigator in the Laboratory of Pathology at the NCI. Her work has focused on the classification and diagnosis of lymphoid neoplasms, contributing to the development of the World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues.
