Eleanor de' Medici (28 February 1567 – 9 September 1611) was a member of the prominent House of Medici and the wife of Ferdinando I de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany. She was born in Florence, Italy, to Francesco I de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany and Joanna of Austria, Grand Duchess of Tuscany.
Eleanor played a significant role in the cultural and political life of Tuscany during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. She was known for her patronage of the arts and her support of various artists and intellectuals of the time.
In 1589, Eleanor married Ferdinando I de' Medici, with whom she had a son, Cosimo II, who succeeded his father as Grand Duke of Tuscany.
Eleanor de' Medici passed away on 9 September 1611 in Mantua, Italy.
