- Ellenville is a village in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 4,135 at the 2010 census. The village is located in the town of Wawarsing, approximately ninety miles northwest of New York City and ninety miles southwest of Albany.

- The village of Ellenville was incorporated in 1838. It was the first settlement in the town of Wawarsing and was originally known as "Wawarsing Place." The name was later changed to Ellenville, in honor of Ellen Snyder, the wife of the village's first postmaster.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Ellenville is located in the Rondout Valley, between the Shawangunk Mountains to the east and the Catskill Mountains to the west. The village is at the junction of Routes 209 and 52, and is served by the nearby Joseph Y. Resnick Airport.
