Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) is a private university focused on aviation and aerospace programs. Embry–Riddle was founded in 1925 by T. Higbee Embry and John Paul Riddle as the Embry-Riddle Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Initially, it was a business that provided flight training and aircraft sales. The company evolved into the Embry-Riddle School of Aviation, and later, in 1965, it became Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University.
