University of Florida

The University of Florida (UF) is a public land-grant university, sea-grant university, and space-grant university located in Gainesville, Florida. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida and traces its origins to 1853, with the current university being established in 1905. UF is a major, comprehensive, graduate research university with a long history of established programs in international education, research, and service. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity".
