Flers-en-Escrebieux
Flers-en-Escrebieux is a commune in the Nord department in northern France. It is located in the Hauts-de-France region. The commune is part of the Douai urban unit, which is a part of the larger Lille Métropole.

Flers-en-Escrebieux is situated in the northern part of France, approximately 20 kilometers from the Belgian border. The commune is surrounded by several other communes including Douai, Esquerchin, and Cuincy. The Scarpe River flows through the commune, providing a natural water source.
History[edit | edit source]
The history of Flers-en-Escrebieux dates back to the Middle Ages. The commune was heavily affected during both World War I and World War II. The Battle of Flers-Courcelette, a significant battle during World War I, took place near the commune.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the latest census, Flers-en-Escrebieux has a population of approximately 4,000 residents. The commune has seen a steady increase in population over the past few decades, largely due to its proximity to the city of Douai.
