Frederick Robie
Frederick Robie (1822–1912) was an American businessman and politician who served as the 39th Governor of Maine from 1883 to 1887. A member of the Republican Party, Robie's tenure as governor was marked by his conservative fiscal policies and his advocacy for temperance and education reform.

Frederick Robie was born on August 12, 1822, in Gorham, Maine. He was educated in the local schools of Gorham and went on to attend Bowdoin College, where he graduated in 1841.
