- Frontenac is a city located in Crawford County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 3,437. Frontenac is the second largest city in Crawford County.

- Frontenac was established in 1886 by the Cherokee and Pittsburg Coal and Mining Company. The city was named after the Marquis de Frontenac, a French soldier and Governor General of New France.

- Frontenac is located at 37°3′20″N 94°41′32″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.91 square miles, all of it land.
